Welcome back Members! The Officers and Board of Directors are very happy to announce that Club Members may again visit the clubhouse by following approved PBYC Covid-19 Guidelines. Many hours of work and zoom meetings took place to write these guidelines and we thank you for your patience and support during this time.
Members & Guests are our #1 Priority: The purpose of this guidance is to allow Pierpont Bay Yacht Club (PBYC) to operate under COVID-19 guidelines while ensuring the safety of our Members. PBYC is an all-volunteer club with no employees, and this guidance is tailored to our own club’s non-profit mission. Unfortunately, the clubhouse is officially closed for member reservations and public rentals.
Training: In an effort to ensure the program is properly supported by Club Members, all Members who use the facilities will be required to read and understand the entire PBYC COVID-19 Plan, some of which are summarized below.
Front door Sign-in Station where each Member and Guest must:
- Sanitize their hands.
- Have your temperature taken with the touchless forehead thermometer and record if greater or less than 1000F in the entry log.
- Read & sign the consent form – one time only – and place into the binder.
Bar Usage During Normal Operating Hours: An assigned bar host is the only person allowed behind the bar. Masks and gloves must be used at all times. The host will take drink orders from the east end of the bar, as shown by signage, and deliver them on the bar for Members and Guests to pick up. Members shall follow the same required guidelines after normal operating hours.
Galley: The galley sink may be used for hand-washing and preparation of disinfecting agents. Until further notice, the galley is closed to food preparation.
Thank you again for your cooperation while enjoying your time at PBYC!
